Doug Shoemaker is the Chief of Police for the Grand Junction Colorado Police Department, and has served in that capacity since June of 2018.  He has almost 28 years of experience in law enforcement, having spent the majority of his career with the Jefferson City, Missouri Police Department prior to his appointment as GJPD Police Chief.  He is the Vice Chair of the International Association of Chiefs of Police Public Information Officer's Committee, and is an adjunct instructor for Northwestern University.  He holds a BA and MS degree, and will complete his Doctorate work later this year.
